The Ontario Shetland Sheep Breeders was founded in 2004 as a way to help promote the Shetland Sheep in Ontario, as well as to bring the breeders from across the province together. We are a small group, filled with many interesting philosophies - but with one main interest - to promote Shetland Sheep!

Across Ontario you will find a broad range of colour, many flocks have gulmoget, katmoget, and spotted sheep. There are UK, US and Canadian bloodlines present in many of our flocks as well. We are a friendly bunch - we are happy to answer questions for newcomers and long time breeders as well.

Many of us are interested in showing our sheep, and to that end - we have a special class at the Rockton Worlds Fair - just for Shetlands!

Membership fees are only $20 for the year, they are due on the 1st January. There will be a 3 month grace period before membership benefits are terminated.
